Holiday Traditions: Future family edition

Last week I shared a photo on my Instagram account, showing how my boyfriend, and I were starting our holiday season. Let me start by telling you guys, that I LOVE Christmas. I actually wanted to put the tree up, after Halloween hahaha.  I love the music, I love the smell (pine, and peppermint), I love the decorations, but most of all I love the time that is spent with those that I cherish. We had many traditions growing up, but now that I am an adult, I feel that it is important to think back on those traditions, and make my own.

The first thing I want to do, is put the tree up on Black Friday.  The sooner the better! Especially if you’re going to be out shopping for gifts anyway. Avoid the last minute wrapping, and wrap as you go. Once you’ve done that, all you have to do is put them under the tree.

The second thing that I would like to have, is eggnog on deck. I love eggnog. Especially when I’m at home, and can add Southern Comfort to it 😉 So after we went to Walmart to get our ornaments, and eggnog, we stopped by the local liquor store, and got the whiskey to match (happy dance). Yep, alcoholic eggnog must be a tradition.

Okay, so the last one may sound cheesy, but I’ve always wanted to have the matching family Christmas pajamas. My boyfriend thinks its one of the corniest things ever, but I am super excited to do it this year! Lol, that and wearing matching Christmas sweaters.  Definitely a tradition I want to have in my future family.

Those are my top 3 for now. I’m sure I’ll have more later. What are some traditions that your family does that you would like to keep? Any that you want to start with your own family? Please share!

Check out my tree!
